Vinyl or Aluminum Siding: Panels, Soffit and Trim
A siding job is more than the panels. The soffit closes the underside of the roof overhang, the fascia covers the edge, and corner posts and J-channel finish every edge and opening.
We carry all of it, in vinyl and in aluminum.
Clapboard or Dutch lap
Both are horizontal panels. Clapboard is a straight, flat board. Dutch lap has a groove along the top of each board, which casts a deeper shadow line.
A "double 4 in" panel carries two 4 in boards, so each panel covers 8 in.

Soffit: solid or vented
Vented soffit lets air into the attic, which is what keeps moisture out of the roof in winter. Solid soffit goes where no ventilation is needed.
In vinyl we carry double 5 in solid and fully vented, and T-4 solid, hidden vent, centre vented and fully vented. In aluminum, 2-panel, 3-panel and 4-panel, each solid or vented.
The trim that finishes it
- Outside and inside corner posts for every corner.
- J-channel around windows, doors and roof lines, in several face widths.
- Undersill trim under windows, where the top course is cut.
- Aluminum fascia in 4, 6 and 8 in, for the roof edge.
- Roof edge and L-trim in aluminum.
For fascia and trim bent on site, we carry aluminum flatstock 24 in wide in 98.5 ft rolls, from Gentek and under our own brand, and gutter coil in standard and heavy gauge.
